முன்னாள் நெடுஞ்சாலை மற்றும் பொதுப்பணித்துறை அமைச்சர் எ.வ. வேலு, 2021–2026 காலகட்டத்தில் அமைச்சராக இருந்தபோது, 2026–27 நிதியாண்டுக்கான CRIDP திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 80 பணிகளுக்கு சுமார் ரூ.2,000 கோடி முன்கூட்டியே நிர்வாக அனுமதி வழங்கியதாக ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா குற்றம்சாட்டியுள்ளார்.
சட்டசபையில் அந்த மானியக் கோரிக்கைகள் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டு நிறைவேற்றப்படுவதற்கு முன்பே பணிகளுக்கு ஒப்பந்தங்கள் கோரப்பட்டு, 2025–26 நிதியாண்டிலேயே 80 பணிகளுக்கான பணி ஆணைகள் வழங்கப்பட்டதாக புகார் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இதன் மூலம் எதிர்கால பட்ஜெட் ஒதுக்கீட்டில் ரூ.2,000 கோடி Committed Liability உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், இது சட்டமன்ற நடைமுறைக்கு எதிரானது என்றும் ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்த விவகாரம் தொடர்பாக சட்டசபையில் ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா அளித்த உரிமை மீறல் புகார் தற்போது அரசியல் வட்டாரத்தில் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
